INTRODUCTION

The ANGEL TREE RUN, hereafter “The Event” is a physical run that will be held at Marina Bay Waterfront Promenade on Saturday, 6 July 2024.

Key event characteristics:

Participants will run a 5km designated route (timed) or a 2km fun walk (not timed).
Participants can register for the competitive run individually or as a Team of 3.
Participants can register for the fun walk individually or as a Family.
Participants in the 5km run must use the MyRaceGate app to record their run. The app stops the clock automatically when Participants complete the designated route. If a runner decides to not use the MyRaceGate app then the runner won’t get a result.
Results are posted immediately on the live leaderboard.

1 GENERAL

1.1 The ANGEL TREE RUN is organised by Seventy Times Seven and MetaSport (the “Organiser” or “Organisers”)

1.2 Participants agree to review all pre-race materials and will obey all rules, regulations and policies. These rules and policies include the race preparation emails and information which are available to view on event website and all traffic and local laws;

1.3 Participants understand that participating in these activities may require high fitness and endurance and confirm that they have the appropriate conditioning and fitness;

1.4 Participants will respect the rights, dignity and worth of every individual at the event including participants, volunteers and spectators. They will at all times act professionally and responsibly and maintain high standards in respect to my language and actions and will not discriminate against any person on any grounds but in particular based on sex, sexual orientation, ethnicity, religion, ability or performance;

1.5 The Organisers reserve the right, in its sole discretion, to dismiss any participant from the activities, to deny or revoke entry of any applicant at any time, to issue special entries and/or to disqualify a participant from the Event. If I am dismissed or depart for any reason, I agree I am responsible for all costs of early departure whether for medical reasons, dismissal, personal emergencies or otherwise. If my entry application is denied or revoked, I agree that the Organisers are not responsible for costs incurred or damages suffered by me or my family in excess of the amount of the entry fee. In the event that the Organisers deny or disqualify the participant from the Event (either before or during the Event), the Organisers will not refund any entry fees where the participant has misrepresented their eligibility to participate in the Event at the time of entry or has breached any of the conditions of this Form. If I wish to withdraw from the event, I must follow the specific cancellation instructions as per the event website and the event specific cancellation policy set out on the event website will apply.

1.6 Participants are fully responsible for the security of personal possessions at the Event and the Organisers will not be liable for the replacement of any personal possessions.

2 PERSONAL HEALTH RISKS & PRECAUTIONS

2.1 While participating in the Event, participants agree to comply with any public health and/or safety directions of Organising staff, representatives or contractors; police; or government or health authorities.

2.2 Event Organisers do not provide personal accident insurance or and medical insurance coverage for participants in the Event. Participants are responsible to ensure that they take any necessary applicable insurance coverage to take part in this Event.

3 RACE ENTRY – GENERAL

3.1 Participants below the age of 14 years as of 6 July 2024, should be accompanied by a parent who will be responsible for their safety.

4 REGISTRATION FEES

4.1 Once registration has been duly processed, there will be no fee refund for participants who do not eventually take part in the event for whatever reason.

4.2 Entries are strictly non-transferable.

4.3 The Organizers, in its sole discretion, may delay, modify, or cancel the Event for any reason, including if it believes the conditions on the race day are unsafe. In the event the Event is delayed, modified, or cancelled, including but not limited to acts of God or the elements (including without limitation, wind, rough water, rain, hail, hurricane, tornado, earthquake), acts of terrorism, fire, threatened or actual strike, tightened social distancing measures, labour difficulty, work stoppage, insurrection, war, public disaster, public health risk or pandemic, flood, unavoidable casualty, race course conditions, or any other cause beyond the control of the Organizers, there shall be no refund of the Event entry fee or any other costs incurred in connection with the Event.

5 REGISTRATION PROCESS

5.1 Registration must be completed online through the event website.

5.2 The Organiser will not entertain nor be in any way responsible for any disputes arising from incomplete or inaccurate registration details.

5.3 The Organiser reserves the right to limit and/or refuse entries without giving any reason.

5.4 Entries are not accepted after the closing of the registration period.

6 5KM RUN - RECORDING OF RUN STATISTICS & SUCCESSFUL COMPLETION

6.1 Participants’ (5KM only) distance and time taken will be recorded using the MyRaceGate app.

6.2 In the event of the race app failing or other technical issues, the Organiser reserves the right to use a recording from a secondary tracking device (such as a sports watch, Strava, RunKeeper) to determine a runner's successful completion of the event.

7 RUN CONDUCT

7.1 It is the participant’s responsibility to complete the full distance of the designated route.

7.2 Participants must complete the entirety of the route by themselves, and not use any other person, vehicle or mode to move their tracking device around the route.

7.3 Participants must ensure that all run tracking data has been saved to the MyRaceGate app successfully after they reach the finish point.

7.4 Participants may complete the route only once, and save only one set of run data on the MyRaceGate app. Participants with duplicate data will be disqualified.

8 PERMISSIONS

I grant to the Organiser, its affiliates, partners, sponsors, and assignees the right and permission to photograph, film, record and/or otherwise capture in any media the name, image, voice, written statement, photograph, social media post and/or visual likeness of me and/or my family members (collectively “images”), with right to use it, without compensation, for the purpose of marketing the
event and related products and services in any media, including but not limited to broadcasts, photographs, publications, brochures, internet websites, social media platforms, television, and/or in any related commercial, advertising, or promotional materials. I understand that all ownership and copyright rights in the images shall be owned by the Organisers and I waive any inspection or approval rights. I understand and agree that my name, and race results will be available to the public during and after the Event.

9 DISQUALIFICATION

9.1 The Organiser reserves the right to disqualify a participant if he or she:

Does not meet the age criteria
Uses a vehicle or another person to record their run, or seeks to falsify the completion of their run by any other illegal means
Finishes the run more than once
Gives incorrect personal information

10 PERSONAL INFORMATION

10.1 I consent to my name and contact details being included on the Seven Times Seven and MetaSport event database and that unless I specify to the contrary, I will be subscribed to various MetaSport related publications which include a monthly newsletter and other promotional materials about upcoming events. I acknowledge that I am able to opt out of these services at any time.

10.2 I agree that if I choose not to be included on the Seven Times Seven and MetaSport event databases I will still receive newsletters that relate to the event in which I have registered. I also agree that it is my responsibility to obtain information and event updates from the event website (if applicable).
